Community

Our team get involved with a variety of great causes that support the social well-being of our communities.

We’re passionate about our responsibility as corporate citizens and partner with charities, groups and associations that share our values and work together to achieve great things.

Brightside supported charities

Fundraising

We get involved with events no matter how big or small, and if there is no event – we make one. We bring Brightsiders together through morning teas, sponsored walks, charitable auctions, fancy dress days, and quiz nights all raising funds for our chosen charities.

Brightside takes part in Steptember, which is a global charity to help raise funds and awareness for people living with cerebral palsy. Each year the Brightside office gets behind Steptember to help raise funds for people living with cerebral palsy so that they can have access to cerebral palsy therapy and treatments.

Outside of Steptember, the Australian office also takes part in the Melanoma March and the Dragons Abreast Festival.

Brightsiders regularly get together to raise money for charities that are close to their hearts, like the MS Sydney to Wollongong bike ride.

Employees and teams have taken to fundraising or contributing to charities that are close to their hearts, with charities like RSCPA Cupcake Day, Cancer Council World’s greatest shave, and the CEO Sleep out.

Community & Volunteering Program

Volunteering

Dress for Success is an organisation that helps women to regain their confidence by providing clothing, accessories, makeup and other products for the interview process and work life. Dress for Success does more than provide suits and accessories, they provide training sessions, seminars, and job training so that women are equipped with the skills needed to be successful and confident.

We get our teams involved with different team building experiences that help to make a difference. Recently some of out teams have volunteered at The Big Issue selling magazines, building Bikes for Tykes, and giving a hand with the Helping Hands Program.

We love giving back. It’s important to us to make a difference in the communities we live in, work in and in which our products service. That’s why each Brightsider receives two days of community service leave so that they can volunteer for a charity or registered organisation that matters most to them.
